Tennessee Blogger Meet Up!!

Well the gals of Tennessee are taking the plunge! We have been so jealous seeing all the other meet ups that we planned our own. (Actually Laura over at Kinder Kraziness did, we just cheered her on!!). So if you live in Tennessee or somewhere close by and want to come check out our plans and head over to Laura's blog! Hope to see you there!

(Just a side note here, the place we are meeting has an outlet mall, which has a Coach store! I am obsessed with Coach- 15 bags, an umbrella, gloves, hat, diaper bag, 3 wallets. So I am ready for this trip for lots of reasons! YAY!)

How I Met My Hubby!

Okay I know it is some secret bloggy rule to never post twice in a day, but I have not been keeping up with my blogging and it doesn't really hurt anything. Plus I have been reading every one's How I Met My Hubby posts and I just had to share too! Since I have the day off I thought today would be a good day to post it. You should share your story too!
Okay so I have know my hubby almost all of my life (I promise this is not the whole story). In high school we were friends, but I had the BIGGEST CRUSH ever on him. He had a girlfriend. She and I did not get along. He and I always had a connection but there was always that girlfriend. Then he graduated and went to Tennessee Tech. I still had two more years of high school. I started dating someone, but on the upside he and his girlfriend broke up. I dated that other guy for 6 years and did not talk to Jason at all in that time. I went to college at East TN State U., and when I graduated was in kind of a funk. I got my BS in Early Childhood, but was going on to Physical Therapy School. Nothing in my life fit, so I ended my long term relationship, drop out of Physical Therapy School, and applied to teach. Meanwhile I discovered Facebook (that's right, this just became an Internet relationship). I had been on the Myspace bandwagon, but everyone was on Facebook (including Jason). J and I reconnected as friends. I suggested that the next time he came home to visit he and I go out for a drink. An important note here is he only came home once a year usually, at Christmas. He drove to town on his next off day to take me out. We then continued to travel back on forth on our off days for the next 2 months. I applied for teacher positions from East TN to Middle TN. This is where fate stepped in. I must have applied to 50 school districts and I only got one phone call from one school. It was a school in Cookeville, where J was. I drove out for the interview and walked out with the job. So I packed up and moved to Cookeville at the end of July 2007. It certainly made our relationship easier to be in one town. At Thanksgiving that year he asked my parents for permission to marry me (isn't he the sweetest!). On New Year's Eve he proposed in chocolate sauce at the Melting Pot in Nashville! We were married in July 2008. Got our first child Cooper (he is a Morkie) in February February 2009, had our son April 2010, and our daughter November 2011. We moved back to East Tennessee after we had our son. It is the perfect family!
When we started dating he bought tickets for my parents and us to go to the Alabama vs. Vanderbilt game at Vanderbilt. That is how he won my dad over. We are huge Bama fans. RTR!!!

This is how he proposed. He had the waiter carry out the ring on this "dessert" plate! It was like a movie!

This is a picture from our wedding. We had the reception at a golf course and took pictures out there. It was the same golf course Hubby and his Groomsmen played at that morning (he included my dad in that too, I am a daddy's girl so them being friends means a lot to me!!).
Our Family Photo Session when Carter was 7 months old.

Our first family photo after Little Sissy was born. She is just a few hours old and Little Man is exactly 19 months old.

I hope you enjoyed reading our story and I would love to read yours so link up over at Buzzing with Ms. B!

Okay so Sunday I went to post my upcycling of a storage container when I saw week 7's topic, organizing your teacher bag. I knew then I needed to make one post. I did both!!!

I took this old yucky looking filing box.
Took my favorite teachers bag from 31!

Took all the junk out of said favorite teachers bag!

Put yuck yellow filing box into wonderful teachers bag!
Filed all lose papers into a folder.
I know have in my bag, my teachers notebook, my to do list, file folders (to do, to file, to read, to send home, and to copy), my Debbie Diller book for my book study, a notepad, and my iPad. In the front I have pockets for jump drives and pens.

My first unit! GIVEAWAY

Well I did it. I completed an intervention pack to go with one of our Reading stories! I love the intervention packs on TpT, but they are usually by the month and I wanted something for each story. So I sat down and made one for our next story. I  want to see how it works and if I like it or not before I do more.
Also I have been feeling guilty for not keeping up with my blog lately. Boy I tell you I forgot how hard it is to work and have an infant (which is amazing I forgot since my oldest isn't even 2) I guess I blocked it! SO, I decided to have my first giveaway. I am giving away 2 copies of my unit!!

Here is how to enter.
1. Leave me a comment telling me you follow my blog!
2. Blog about my giveaway and leave me a comment!
3. Follow me on TpT and leave me a a comment!

Three ways to enter, three ways to win!!! If you don't win, but would love my unit anyway just click on the picture and grab it from my store.

Clutter Free Classroom Project Week 5

This week's topic is storage containers!!! YAY!!! If you love storage containers like I do then hop on over to the Clutter Free Classroom Project and join in!

This week we were supposed to pick our favorite storage container and post it. So my favorite is my newest. You need a little background on it though. A few weeks ago the kindergarten teachers asked PTA to buy us kidney shaped tables (actually it was horseshoe, but there was a huge drama with that!!). They agreed and so our tables are on their way. Then last week our topic was our teacher area. As I went in to clean it out I though, I don't need this massive piece of furniture. A small desk for my computer would be just fine. After that I was determined to remove my desk. While hanging out on Pinterest I discovered a fun way to organize desk supplies and my new favorite storage container was born!! Here it is:

It is 39 wonderful drawers. 30 little and 9 big. I made labels for every drawer. It holds all my office supplies like tape, staples, brads, push pins, and highlighters. I even made blank labels for the empty drawers so all the fronts look the same. It would drive me crazy  to have empty fronts!!

I can't wait to see all the other great storage containers!!!

Wow. It's been a long week!

Did anyone catch that my post yesterday said Wednesday. That's right I wrote about math and titled it Wednesday! I guess that proves I am beyond exhausted! Well today was Wednesday and we still have two us! All I can say is where is the snow?
