My name is Markeeta. I am a mother of two beautiful children. My oldest child, Carter, is 4 and has severe autism and a seizure disorder. He has been through a lot in his short 4 years of life. He struggles with communication and this causes frequent meltdowns. These can be scary for all of us, especially his two year old sister, which is where a lot of his aggression is directed. Carter also has no sense of danger and has on more than one occasion has run from me toward traffic, barbed wire fences, and drop offs. Our family lives in fear that he will hurt himself or someone else without meaning to. He is the cutest sweetest little boy that gives hugs and kisses all the time. He deserves a little peace. You can help us by supporting Service Dogs by Warren Retrievers. They are an organization that trains and places dogs with families in need of extra support, like ours. A dog for Carter would provide help in calming his aggression, protecting both himself and his sister. It would stay with him at all times, making getting away and running very difficult. If he was able to get away his dog would be trained to track him. His dog would be trained to recognize and alert an adult if a seizure occurs . These dogs are huge emotional supports for their children as well as a support to the family. I am asking for your support to raise this money and more for this organization that is making a difference in so many families lives, including ours.
